In addition to the physical benefits Bowen Therapy has on the body, the effects on the state of mind cannot be underestimated. It is important to remember that not only does the health of the body affect the mind, but also the health of the mind can manifest physically in the body. The gentle rolling moves of the Bowen technique, over specific areas of the body, stimulate the tissues and nerve pathways, creating a focus for the brain, with the immediate response often being a rapid and deep relaxation of the mind and body. Once the treatment is complete, patients report enhanced mental clarity, reduced stress and anxiety, improved decision making and ability to reason.
